The Brothers Ranch offers a truly unique atmosphere. The venue consists of a sprawling 25 acres of bamboo, palms and tropical flowers that will make you feel like you’re stepping into another world. We also provide 2 options for outdoor ceremony sites, a bridal changing suite, a full kitchen and bar, and indoor/outdoor reception spaces in our renovated barn and courtyard.

A GARDEN CEREMONY

Surrounded by thick timber bamboo, sweeping palms, luscious elephant ears and bright tropicanas, the ceremony lawn feels like your own private oasis. There's electrical boxes for a band or DJ, a hidden back entrance for the wedding party to make their appearance and enough space to seat 400+ guests.

We've taken the indoor-outdoor vibe to a whole new level. 3 glass roll-up doors open up the spacious 72 square foot granite bar and dance floor to a bamboo courtyard, providing the prefect space to eat, drink and be merry.

WHERE IS THE BROTHERS RANCH LOCATED?

 

We are conveniently located in Royal Oaks, CA, about 30 minutes from Santa Cruz and 40 minutes from Monterey. Our address for driving directions is 101 Harrington Rd, Royal Oaks, CA 95076. As you arrive on the property you’ll see signs for The Brothers Ranch.

HOW DO I SET UP A TOUR OF THE VENUE?

Tours are by appointment only. Please email us at contact@brothersranch.com to schedule your visit!

WHEN DOES THE RENTAL PERIOD START AND END?

The rental period begins at 8am on the day prior to the event. You have from 8am-7:30pm to set up and do any rehearsals or photoshoots on site. On the event day the venue is yours from 8am-10:30pm. On the day following the event you have from 8am to 3pm for cleanup.

WHAT’S THE VENUE CAPACITY?

The Brothers Ranch can currently accommodate up to 400 guests, as we continue to grow, so will our capacity to hold larger events.

WHAT DOES THE VENUE RENTAL INCLUDE?

  • Bar with commercial ice machine (Our ice machine produces enough ice for most events. If it can’t keep up with your needs Brothers Ranch is not responsible for providing extra.)

  • Kitchen

  • Tables and chairs for seating the first 200 guests

  • 10 6’ long rectangular folding tables and black tablecloths

  • Bathrooms for the first 100 guests

  • 10 flame patio heaters and propane

  • 1 Giant jenga game and 1 cornhole set

  • Indoor and outdoor lighting around reception barn, courtyard and parking lot

  • 10 trash cans with trash bags as well as trash removal

  • Brothers Ranch staff on-site for your wedding day to help with parking, coordinate with vendors, and to answer questions and to take care of the facilities

WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE VENUE RENTAL?

  • Event coordination

  • Linens and tableware

  • Set up & tear down of tables and chairs

  • Event insurance (Can be purchased through Event Helper or WedSafe)

  • Event security

  • In the event of rain, Brothers Ranch does not provide tents or extra covered spaces.

IS EVENT DAY INSURANCE REQUIRED?

Yes. Special event insurance is required for Friday-Sunday of your  event weekend and can be purchased through WedSafe or EventHelper.

WHAT’S THE ALCOHOL POLICY?

You may bring your own alcohol but it must be served by a licensed, insured bartender. A copy of their certificate of insurance must be submitted to the Brothers Ranch 30 days before your wedding date. No shots may be served- all hard liquor must be served as a mixed drink. Last call is at 9:30 pm.

IS THERE A DAMAGE DEPOSIT?

Yes, we require a $1000 damage deposit. The deposit is fully refundable according to the provisions in the contract.

DO YOU REQUIRE THE USE OF SPECIFIC CATERERS?

You may use the caterer of your choice provided they have their own liability insurance. A copy of their certificate of insurance must be submitted to the Brothers Ranch 30 days before your wedding date.

WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR TRASH REMOVAL?

After your event all trash can be placed in the dumpster on-site.

IS EVENT SECURITY REQUIRED?

A security officer is required at events exceeding 200 people in which alcohol is served.

IS AN EVENT COORDINATOR REQUIRED?

Yes. We require at least a day-of coordinator. If your coordinator isn’t selected from our list of preferred vendors they must be approved by the venue at least 60 days prior to your event.

WHAT'S THE NOISE POLICY?

All music must be kept at a reasonable volume and be brought indoors no later than 8pm. Live bands are are permitted until 9pm and may continue later with permission from the Brothers Ranch. Amplified Bandas and Mariachi are not permitted. Bandas are allowed until 8pm and must set up inside the main building. Last song is at 9:45pm.

 

ARE FURRY FRIENDS ALLOWED?

Animals are allowed with permission from the venue but are not allowed in the buildings. All dogs must be kept on a leash at all times.
